Auction Party

Westwood Charter's Annual Auction - coming in March!  This is the biggest fundraising event for our school outside of the E&E drive and we need every family to participate to make it a success!  This year's auction will have four parts:  (1) the Auction Party, (2) the Online Auction, (3) Host-A-Parties, and (4) the Armchair Auction.  Here's an explanation of each and how you can make the most of these fantastic events:

Auction Party:

Please join us for the Annual Auction Party on March 6th at The Mark. Your ticket will include an open bar, tasty food and all the games to help you tap into your competitive spirit. As always, you will have first choice of select Party Books (formerly known as Host-A-Parties) and the live auction will start at 9pm!

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, February 7th. From noon until midnight on February 7th ONLY, tickets will be available for $95. After that, they will be sold for $125 until March 3rd at noon or they sell out (whichever comes first). If any tickets remain, they can be purchased at the door for $150.

Online Auction:

The Online Auction will begin TBD and we need your help bringing in donations!  Starting now, please ask the businesses you frequent to donate goods or services.  In exchange, they will receive a listing on our auction website which will describe their business, include all contact information and a link to their own website.  Our Auction will have a social media presence this year as well, so donors can expect exponential exposure to not only the families of our nearly 900 students, but their friends and families as well.  Local businesses are almost always willing to give, especially to their customers, so please don't be afraid to ask!  Forms to help you ask for a donation can be can be found at the bottom on this email:

Host-A-Parties:

Do you want a really fun way to help out with the auction?  Host a party!  You pick the date, time and theme and we'll sell tickets on the Auction website, with all proceeds benefitting the school.   Parties can be for kids, adults or both and can be anything you can think of - crafts in your living room for a small group, a Mom's Night Out, a dinner party, cooking party, magic show or pizza making.  Interested, but don't know where to begin?  We have some parties already packaged up and ready for you to host, just let us know!

Armchair Auction:

Each year, our wonderful teachers and administrators offer to take a small group of students on a special outing that can include anything - a lunch, a movie, bowling, a trip to the beach!  A bid sheet describing the outings offered by your child's teacher will go home in the homework folders soon - the high bidder(s) for each event will get to participate in these amazing experiences.  Stay tuned for details!!
